JAPS Performance Car Show

Saturday

We arrived at Stanford Hall around 10am. The event was larger that I had expected having been announced at such short notice.

A small group of cars lined up to create the 200+ stand at the side of the main concourse judging area.

Amongst the attendees were Ian (Celica GT4), Vince (R33 GTR), Carl (EVO 5), Kevin (R33 GTR) and Myself (R33 GTR)

Ian entered the Toyota concourse class and won with his new body kit and wheels.  Nice one Ian

Vince and I entered the Nissan general class and Vince received the runner’s up award.

I ended up having to do an impromptu speech about the 200+ club and Skylines in general, hopefully I made some sense.

The weather was good all day and some people seemed to be enjoying the sun….

Sunday

Several more people attended the Sunday in general with probably 50% more cars overall, the 200+ club was no exception with more cars on display.

The extra attendees were Gary (RX7), Glen (Supra Turbo), Jon (300ZX), Tooley (300ZX) and a relation of Kevin (GTiR).

Kevin again entered the Nissan concourse and received runner up (the trophy was the second best thing about winning as you can see below).

Gary, Glen and Myself entered the modified car class.  Gary won with his very good looking, not to be trifled with, Mazda RX7.

Overall a good weekend with lots of sun and a great informal atmosphere, should be a good event if it’s held again next year.
