Alan Green, is one of radio's most outspoken but most popular commentators on BBC Radio 5 Live. His commentaries on the station have provided many highlights. The most notably of his commentaires are the one where the tannoy announcer, during the course of a game, asked for his car to be removed from the area in which he had parked it, and also, and arguably one of the greatest commentaries of all time, the British Coxless Fours (rowing for the uninitiated) victory at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. If nothing else, Alan Green can never be ignored for entertainment value or controversy. |

The doyen of verbal exhuberance, Stuart Hall, has the presentation skills from an age of romanticism. His love of sport (especially on his summaries of Manchester City matches) are legendary. Having been a part of all 30-45 year olds youth from his days on "Its A Knockout", Stuart continues to be a beacon of a bygone era of broadcasting and remains a gentleman and a scholar! |
