Every year our Scout Group takes part in the Fair Oak Carnival.  Each year we follow a theme, this year it was "The Grand Old Duke Of York And His Nearly Ten Thousand Men."  As you can see from the pictures below we looked fantastic.   This year we won the "Best Walking Procession." 

At the end of the procession there is a field full of games, stalls, and arena events.   Our Scout Hut is adjacent to the field so everybody walks past it to  get in.   This is an advantage for us, as we hold several events in and out the hut.   This year we had penalty shoot out, burst the water bomb, splat the rat, and inside the hut there were cakes for sale as well as drinks etc.  I set up a Nintendo entertainment system which people could play on.  All in all we made a fair amount of money as well as having fun!!!
