The files Muse.exe and Muse.hlp may be copied so long as they are copied entirely and accurately with no alterations. The copies may be distributed to any third party so long as the third party also accepts this licence agreement. (That doesn't necessarily mean anybody paying anything). The licence fee purchases a password. The password may be used to remove restrictions when Muse prints, plays or saves files. The password allows you to run Muse without restrictions on a single computer. You must purchase another password to run Muse without the restrictions on another computer.
You may distribute freely any files saved by Muse representing music. These are (typically) .MUS, .ABC .MID .TAB or .TXT files. Neither Musements nor Laurie Griffiths claim any copyright to these output files.
Muse.exe may not be disassembled or reverse-engineered or altered in any way.
It is not possible to guarantee that Muse is free from defects. The registration process allows a period of thirty days unrestricted use before the password is required. It is up to you to use this period to establish whether Muse is useful to you and whether you wish to purchase a password. Once a password has been purchased, the money cannot be refunded.
As far as the law allows Laurie Griffiths and Musements disclaim all other warranties, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose. The licence fee does not include any consideration for assumption of any risk by Musements. Musements and the author, Laurie Griffiths, both disclaim any and all liability for incidental or consequential damage arising out of the use or inability to use the software. You agree to indemnify Musements and Laurie Griffiths and to hold them harmless from any such claim.
