Trad2Mad competition 2009

"From the fiercely traditional to the frankly eccentric."

The Islington Folk Club is holding a competition across the World Wide Web for unaccompanied solo singers. Entry is free and videos should be posted to YouTube and the URL sent to trad2mad@islingtonfolkclub.co.uk by 14th November 2009.

1st prize £100 -- 2nd prize £50 -- 3rd prize £25

Rules

  1. Singers must be solo and unaccompanied.
  2. The song including introduction should not be longer than 4 minutes in duration.
  3. Singers should introduce the song with the singer's name, the song title and "This is my entry for the 2009 Islington Folk Club Trad2Mad Competition".
  4. Singers may only enter one song.
  5. The trad2mad e-mail address (trad2mad@islingtonfolkclub.co.uk) will be available up to the close of 14th November 2009.
  6. The results will be posted in December 2009 and announced at the Islington Folk Club Christmas party on 17th December 2009.
  7. Entry is free.
  8. Prizes will be paid as a sterling cheque drawn on a British bank
  9. The judges' decision is final.
