Friday 6th June 2008 Oliver Mulligan and Brendan McGlinchey with support from Will Duke & Dan Quinn plus poetry from special guest Racker Donnelly Two All-Ireland champions:
  • Fiddle-player Brendan, from Co. Armagh, is a master of decorative style, renowned both for his technical virtuosity and his feeling for the old style music.
  • Oliver is originally from Co. Monaghan where his style and many of his songs were learned; he later added Gaelic songs from the West. Long resident in London, he is a much respected singer in both English and Irish.
Friday 4th July 2008 Dearman, Gammon & Harrison plus American songs from Peta Webb, Ken Hall and Simon Hindley to celebrate the 4th of July Annie Dearman, Vic Gammon and Steve Harrison perform English traditional songs and tunes in a robust and firmly rooted English style, accompanied on various squeezeboxes, banjo and mouthorgan. Their repertory comes from traditional singers and instrumentalists; from folk song collectors of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century; from manuscript tune and song books, ballad sheets and songs they just happen to hear and like. Their CD Black Crow, White Crow (EFDSS CD11) has had great reviews.
