| Friday | 4th July 2008 | Dearman, Gammon & Harrison plus American songs from Peta Webb, Ken Hall and Simon Hindley to celebrate the 4th of July | Annie Dearman, Vic Gammon and Steve Harrison perform English traditional songs and tunes in a robust and firmly rooted English style, accompanied on various squeezeboxes, banjo and mouthorgan. Their repertory comes from traditional singers and instrumentalists; from folk song collectors of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century; from manuscript tune and song books, ballad sheets and songs they just happen to hear and like. Their CD Black Crow, White Crow (EFDSS CD11) has had great reviews. |
