Today
was Diane's surprise 40th birthday party - thanks to Jayne for
the effort she put in to organise it.

After
a month of persistent phone calls and e-mails we finally got
our wheelie bins today! We got one for household waste, one
for garden waste and a green box for recycling.

The vicious rumour
mill has been working overtime again. Stories are reaching the
press that Jeff has had a visit from his mum! I expect she was
asking for directions to Yaxley!

The youngest brother
has a bad back today - wonder why!

Day off - started
digging out the first of the vegetable plots in the back garden.
2 microns down is solid clay. 6 inches deeper is a layer of
stone chippings - a gift from the builders. It's taken a day
and a half so far and I haven't got near putting in the manure/compost!

We made
it home finally. We had to take the train though. The A14 was
STILL shut.

What a nightmare
with the weather. We decided not to risk the journey home and
stayed in a B&B near work. One person that works with us took
8 hours to get home (normally 45mins) and another was stranded
in his car over night on the A14. I'm glad we stayed put. Just
hope we can get home tomorrow
...and as if by
magic the phone is working again! :-)

X-Men game for play station, an R+B triple platinum album, the
new Busta Rhymes album, and Minority Report on DVD in a competition
on Radio 1xtra!
