Introduction

This is Drascombe Coaster No. 280, as purchased by my father from Churchouse Boats during a very wet day in January 2001. She was built by Honnor Marine during 1998, and as an anonymous boat 'lived' at Poole Harbour for three seasons. During this time she had received little maintenance, and as a result was in somewhat poor condition.

She had no bunk cushions, no compass, no electrics or instruments, no loo, no cooker - in fact, apart from an oversized outboard, she was practically a bare boat. This gave us an opportunity to develop our own ideas, which we have done so gradually. I hope some of these may be of interest.
