Doors was staged at La
Mama Theatre in Carlton, Australia in 1998.
Walser was a troubled man with a compulsion to walk and to write. His use of language is compelling and wryly humourous. He criss-crossed Europe driven by the need to talk and to find silence, until he was finally locked up in an asylum.
