Charity for
African Education
*Due
to the high costs (£20/$30) of transferring small amounts
of money overseas, donations received will be allowed to
accumulate until we have a minimum of £200/$300 per school.
The World
Bank estimated
that it only takes $40/£25 to keep one African child in school
for a whole year*.
Our
Basic Sponsorship request of $40/£25 per year
is based on a 1998 World Bank report, that covered:
- school registration fee -
- school uniform and shoes -
- a limited supply of pencils and exercise books -
However, if you can add an additional monthly donation of
$15/£10, $25/£15 or $30/£20,
for our Continuous Sponsorship,
this would help to ensure that
the child receives:
- the best education available -
- they have a daily meal -
- help towards transport -
- and/or improvements to their school -
- able to replace their uniform and school equipment -
A
school uniform is a traditional requirement in Africa.
