You can make a difference for a child in Africa.

*Due to the high costs (£20/$30) of transferring small amounts of money overseas, donations received will be allowed to accumulate until we have
a minimum of £200/$300 per school.

Sponsoring a child will not only make a difference to them, but also to their family and community, by ensuring brighter future through education.

Sponsorship Details:
You can make a difference to the future prospects of African children by sponsoring their schooling, and at the same time the local community benefits enormously by being able to draw on the resources that educated individuals have access to, to help them solve day to day community problems.

You can ensure this by taking out:
Our Basic Sponsorship request of £25 per year* will ensure the child receives: 
- school registration fee
- school uniform and shoes
- a limited supply of pencils and exercise books

Our Continuous Sponsorship request for a monthly donation of £10, £15 or £20 would help to ensure that in addition to the above, the child receives:
- a daily meal
- help towards transport
- the best education available
- improvements to their school if possible
- replacement of their uniform and school equipment
(Please note that a school uniform is a traditional requirement in Africa)
What does this buy us in the UK?
Not very much BUT it could change an African child's future forever.
Your £20 a month will give an African child the start they deserve in life, by ensuring they receive what we in the UK take so much for granted - an education

Method of Sponsorship:
You can sponsor by any of these methods:
1.	Direct Debit of any amount you wish (form enclosed)
2.	Cheque or Postal Order for any amount you wish
(please make payable to Charity for African Education or CAE)
3.	Cash (just post it to us)
4.	Other (foreign holiday money you have left over)

What to Do
·For our Basic Sponsorship:
Simply send us cash or a cheque/postal order made out to Charity for African Education or CAE.
·For our Continuous Sponsorship:
Fill in our Standing Order Form for whatever amount you wish to donate each month, and send it to your Bank or to us.

For the price of a daily newspaper you can make a difference

What Happens:
·Once we have selected an African child from a list sent to us from African schools, you will be send details about them.
·You will receive two updates and progress reports a year, with photographs if available.
·You will be exclusive to your African child if you are able to sponsor the required amount for their education and healthcare needs. 
·We would like the sponsorship to last for a minimum of 4 years if possible, but this is not essential. The 4 year period allows us to ensure some continuity and commitment on our part, but shorter terms can be used for more short term programs.
·Smaller sponsorship donations are always welcome, but it would mean having more than one sponsor per child and less progress updates, due to costs involved.
·Sponsorship entitles you to a free, designed web page consisting of two photographs and 100 words, as shown at: www.AfricanEducation.org.uk/donating/freewebpage.htm

Due to irregularities in postal services in Africa, we cannot guarantee timely receipt of information regarding the progress of sponsored children.
