Sibylle was lost in the Mediterranean off Toulon. All 46 crew were lost. Although the cause of the accident was never announced, it seems that the hull collapsed after the boat exceeded her design depth. She was formerly the British submarine HMS Sportsman.

27th January 1968
Submarine : Minerve Reason : Unknown

Minerve sank in the Mediterranean off Toulon. The wreck has never been found, but it is possible a fault in the snorkel caused her loss. All 52 crew were lost.

4th March 1970
Submarine : Eurydice Reason : Unknown

Eurydice sank in the Mediterranean off Toulon. The cause was never determined, but it is possible a fault in the snorkel caused her loss. All 57 crew were lost.
