About Warships On The Web



The aim of WOTW is to be the definitive database of all warships on the web. Obviously, this is a job that is unlikely to ever be completed, but it wouldn't be any fun if it was easy.

WOTW originally started as Battleship Bay in November of 1998, with the aim of listing all the worlds dreadnoughts, predreadnoughts and battlecruisers. But after adding most of them, I decided to attempt to list all the worlds warships (an impossible task, I know) . If it seems that the capital ship entries are more detailed than the others, thats only because they were added first.

If you have any info, photos or corrections you'd like to contribute, or if you me to link to your site, or anything really, feel free to email me (Andrew Cashmore) at warships@clara.co.uk. If I haven't got back to you within a week or so then don't worry, I'm working on it.

A word about copyright. All the photos and graphics are believed to be in the public domain, unless labelled otherwise. If I've used your copyright photo inadvertantly, then please contact me.

If you want to use a photo from WOTW that is credited, then check the links page for that organisation, or mail me and I'll pass their details on. If it isn't credited, it is assumed to be public domain, so feel free to use it.

If theres a ships you'd like to see on WOTW, don't hesitate to mail me.

Lastly, I should point out that I have no connection with any navy or other government organization, and do not have any access to any information that is not already in the public domain.
