History & Modifications
Agincourt:
Agincourt was taken over from the Turks on 2nd August 1914 and joined the 4th Battle Squadron on
7th September 1914. She was transferred to the 2nd Battle Squadron in 1915 and fired 144 12" rounds
at Jutland without taking any damage. She was listed for disposal in 1919, but recommissioned in 1921
at Rosyth for use as a trials ship. She was later converted into a depot ship with the removal of all
but the forward turrets. A proposed resale to Brazil fell through, and she was sold for scrapping in
December 1922.
