Powerplant:
Four cylindrical boilers were fitted with two 2 cylinder vertical triple expansion engines providing a total of 10000ihp on two shafts with natural draught, or 120000ihp with forced draught. Maximum speed was 18kts natural draught or 20kts forced draught. A maximum of 1250 tons of coal was carried and range was 10000NM @ 10kts.
