History & Modifications



Talent:
Talent was given a minor refit in late 1993. In early 2000 she began a major refit at Devonport, where a major fault has been discovered. She will not be returned to service until at least the end of 2000. She is in service with the British Navy.

Tireless:
On 12th May 2000 Tireless suffered a coolant leak in the reactor compartment while in the Mediterranean. She diverted to Gibralter where she remains while repairs are made. She is in service with the British Navy.

Torbay:
Torbay began a reactor refuelling in February 2000 at Devonport and is expected to be recommissioned in February 2001. She is in service with the British Navy.

Trafalgar:
Due to delays in the pumpjet programme, Trafalgar was fitted with a conventional propeller on completion, but has since been given a pumpjet.

Trafalgar took part in Exercise Ocean Wave from June to August 1997 when she circumnavigated the world. In June 1998 she was involved in the 'Perisher' training couse. By July 2000 she was carrying out a minor refit at Devonport. She is currently in service with the British Navy.

Trenchant:
Trenchant took part in Exercise Purple Star in September 1996. On 13th October 1998 she suffered a unspecified reactor problem off Portugal and had returned to Devonport seven days later. In September 1999 she tool part in Exercise Northern Light.

In March 2000 she began refitting at Devonport. Trenchant is in service with the British Navy.

Triumph:
Triumph returned from a patrol in the Persian Gulf in April 2000. She is in service with the British Navy.

Turbulent:
Turbulent suffered a major fire on 30th April 1992. In November 1997 she suffered a major radiation leak and all the crew along with some dockyard workers at Devonport were tested for the effects of radiation.

In September 1999 she took part in Exercise Northern Light with other NATO countries. She is currently in service with the British Navy.
