Armament:
4 x 21.7" bow torpedo tubes

Up to 20 torpedoes could be carried, either L5 or F17 models. Three TSM3510 mines could be carried per torpedo space. The tubes could also launch 21" weapons.

Powerplant:
Two Pielstick 16PA4 185 diesels producing a total of 1540bhp were fitted with two SEMT generators and one Jeumont Schneider main motor producing 4725hp on one shaft.

Maximum speed was 12.5kts surfaced and 20.5kts dived. Range was 350NM @ 3.5kts submerged or 8500NM @ 9kts snorkelling.
