Notes:
Beginning with Le Tonnant in 1985, all except Le Redoutable were given refits. The M1, M2 and M20 SLBM
were replaced by M4 missiles. The sonars were replaced by a DSUX-21 passive flank array and a DUSV-61
towed array.
Le Foudroyant:
Le Foudroyant recommissioned from refit on 15th February 1993. She was decommissioned in 1997.
L'Indomptable:
L'Indomptable recommissioned from refit on 1st July 1989. She is expected to be decommissioned in 2002.
Le Redoutable:
Le Redoutable was decommissioned in December 1991.
Le Terrible:
Le Terrible recommisioned from refit on 11th June 1990. She was decommissioned in 1996.
Le Tonnant:
Le Tonnant recommissioned from refit on 15th October 1987. She was decommissioned in 1998.
