| Askold | Askold was one of the fastest cruisers built at the time. She was easily recognizable due to her 5 funnels, which led to her being known as 'the packet of Woodbines'. |

The Bogatyrs were built to 2 slightly different designs. The Black Sea ships, Ochakov and Kagul, were shorter and had a smaller displacement than the other 3 ships of the Baltic Fleet, but were also faster. |
| Novik | Novik was lightly armoured and more of a large destroyer than a cruiser. She was fast for her time and one of the best Russian cruisers. |
| Boyarin | Boyarin was a smaller version of the Bogatyrs. |
