Sweden had a requirement for a missile armed FAC which led to the creation of the
Hugins. They also have a small sonar and AS rocket launchers to give an antisubmarine
capability.
All were built in Norwegian yards using engines from discarded Swedish boats that were returned to MTU in Germany for overhaul. The prototype was P150 Jagaren that was based on the Norwegien Snogg class. It was planned to refit the RBS 15 to all the class, but this was cancelled. |
