| As the rear brake adjusters are very hard to
turn I decided to take them apart. At worst I could always weld the cam back on the shaft. |

| I used the angle grinder to removed the peening
from the shaft protruding through the cam. Here is a reconstruction. I used a short bolt
ground down and a G-cramp. The spanner if deeper than the shaft head. |

| With a bit of persuasion it all came apart. I
was suprised to find two washers under the bolt head. They turned out to be Belville-type
spring washers. They put an axial load on the shaft and stop it moving once it is
correctly adjusted. |
