at the right-hand side. There is rust here caused by salt and water from the road getting up past the petrol tank. This compartment is open at the bottom. |

| I used a spotweld drill to remove the spotwelds. It is very difficult to remove the rusty metal between the rear door pillar and the cross member. |

| A new panel was made and spotwelded into
position. Yes, I have borrowed a spotwelded which makes it a lot easier when dealing with
whole panels. I made up a new stiffener for the edge by rolling a strip of sheet metal. |
