| Time to clean up all the sheet
metalwork ready for painting. |
| I used an electric drill with
a selection of wire brushes. |
| Then a coating of Curerust. |
| Then wirebrushing to remove
the residue. |
| If all the rust had turned black
then I was confident that I had killed it all. If, after wirebrushing,
the was still some red I would apply more Curerust. |
| There are lots of bits of metal
and it took some time to do them all. |
| Under the metal air filter housing
there were a couple of fatigue cracks which I brazed. |
| The cyilnder head studs were
a bit rusty so I replaced them with some good secondhand ones. |
| Rust seems to have got everywhere! |
| Finally - a clean machine! |
