| To undo the nut that is at the base of the splined shaft (above) you need a special tool. You can by one from Wigan but I made my own from a 6 point 29mm socket from Drapers and a length of tube. | ![]() |

You will need a hydraulic press ( or a fly press) to push out the shaft. You also need to push out the bearing to get at the seal. Of course you need a press to put it all back together. I also modified the brake cams the same as I did for the rear brakes. (See 29th July 2001.) Having the cams removable makes it easier to tighten the 6 nuts. |
