"DIMARCHA" 1/24th scale Vosper 60 foot motor boat

From a Vic Smeed free plan with the December 1965 edition of Model Maker and Model Boats

Plywood and Balsa construction mostly completed in 1966, final assembly, painting and fitting out completed in 2004. Maiden voyage on the Torbay and District Model Boat Club pond at Goodrington on the 10th of August 2004.

Beam = 8.5in Length = 30in Weight = 6lb all up

MOTOR = Permax 600 water cooled

PROPELLER = 3 blade 35mm diameter plastic or 50mm 2 blade (much faster)

SPEED CONTROL = M.tronika Marine35 - blew up - now using an Overlander 50A boat ESC with water cooling

RUDDER CONTROL = Futaba FP-S148 servo

TRANSMITTER = Futaba T6EXA 40MHz

RECEIVER = Futaba R136F

POWER SUPPLY = 6V 3400mAh lead acid gel battery (only 10mins duartion)
or 7 sub-c cell pack NiMH of 3200mAh (nearer 30mins duration)
