After triming off excess ABS sheet to leave a 5mm lip, and cutting hatch free.

Hatch opening lined with 5mm ABS strips to provide a shelf for the hatch to seal against. Transom doubled with 2mm lite ply to receive rudder and propshaft support, right sponson end doubled with two layers of 2mm lite ply to receive turn fin

Dry fit of hull parts, not looking too bad.

Transom hardware fitted, rudder reversed !.

Flex drive fitted through 4mm slot cut in underside 75-85mm from transom, worked out perfectly first time.

Trial fit of internals, balances on the sponson rear ends without the rudder.

Motor mount from 1mm brass, fixed through bottom of hull, screw heads will be clear of the water when on the plane.

22 October 2005.
Battery pack made up, 6 X Sanyo CP1300 NiCd's, soldered together with thin brass sheet strips then folded over, shown before the heat shrink went on.

27 October 2005.
Preparing to stick hull top to bottom, shaped foam in sponsons for buoyancy and to hold the battery pack in place, glued in with canopy adhesive. Note tiny AsTec speed controller.

26 November 2005.
Final assembly, rudder servo on velcro with an aluminium bracket to stabilise, water cooling pipes fitted, esc in starboard sponson, receiver on port side.

Transom setup, boat ready for maiden run.

Maiden voyage, fast but quite unstable, flipped twice, takes a while to get on the plane, turns quite well either way without a turn fin.
