The Foil, Epee and Sabre

In fencing three weapons are used. They are known as the Foil, Epee and
Sabre. It is reasonably safe to say that most people consider the Foil to be
the best weapon to start with as learing to use it encourages practices
that are useful in both the other weapons.
The area of the body that counts as valid target area varies from weapon
to weapon. These are discussed below:
