The full    library holds over 20,000 images of over 9,000 fish species

You can however in most cases copy the full original file freely, as long as this reproduction work is for educational purposes, or for non-profit organizations such as aquatic societies. Send us an email with your requirements

For a small fee you can also obtain a licence to reproduce most images from the library for all other purposes, including commercial reproduction

There are several sample pages of thumbnails to browse here on this site- each from a different area. It must be noted that reproduction rights to  some of the images do not belong to Calypso, and some are just unknown - which is why we have to take such great care over copies. If you do know the authors of any unknown items please let us know.
