Ambica:

• Was initially involved in skills transfer as part of the Licence Issuing and Management system project. This involved:
  • Providing on the job training on INGRES ABF application development and DBA activities to MAFF staff who were new to INGRES.
  • Advising on the design aspects of the system.
  • Quality assuring completed code.
• Helped with development of phase 1 in INGRES 6.3 on a COMPAQ SYSTEMPRO 386 under SCO UNIX 3.2 using ABF/4GL, SQL, C and REPORT WRITER.
• Developed:
  • Common modules.
  • Lookup functions.
  • Report control screen.
  • Statistics and office reports.
  • Function to maintain links between different types of export certificate.
• Wrote integration and system tests.

The phase 1 system was ported to INGRES 6.4 on SIEMENS-NIXDORF RM600 under SINIX 5.41.

Ambica:

• Designed the phase 2 system using stages 4 to 6 of SSADM Version 3.
• Developed a prototype application using INGRES 6.4 for demonstration to users.
