The Science Directorate (SD) has a public web site (see http://sciencesearch.defra.gov.uk) that allows searching of information and documents related to science research projects. Ambica enhanced this site to include additional information related to publications, rationales, SMEs (Small or Medium sized Enterprises) and fields of study. Ambica also made various other modifications to improve the look and feel of the site. These changes were developed on Windows 2000 servers running SQL Server 2000 and IIS (Internet Information Server) and on local PCs using Visual Studio .NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, HTML, and XML web services.
