Ambica:
- Developed prototype
screens and sample programs for a training course database system in INGRES
V.5 ABF/4GL on OLIVETTI MP380-XP7 under UNIX 3.2.
- Developed the following
programs as part of version 1.1 of the system on a COMPAQ 386 in INGRES 6.2
ABF/4GL, SQL and C under SCO UNIX 3.2 to:
- Maintain course
details and related data.
- QA course details.
- Transfer course
details to other machines via magnetic tape, floppy disk or modem.
- Wrote and assisted with
the system test.
- Gave user training to
pilot sites.
- Developed the following
version 1.2 functions to:
- Output printouts
of selected course data.
- Globally update
and delete selected course details.
- Developed a version
1.3 function to define and output course report details.
- Team-led development
of version 1.4 with responsibility for:
- Detailed design
and specification.
- Writing the system
test plan.
- Updating global
functions and the user manual.
- Acceptance testing
and integrating completed functions.
- Ported the system (as
version 1.4.1) converting software to aid future portability to:
- INGRES 6.3 on DEC5100
under ULTRIX 4.1.
- INGRES 6.4 on IBM
RS/6000 under AIX 4.1 .
- Team-led version 1.5
enhancements including:
- Specifying the functionality.
- Designing the enhancements.
- Set-up a LAN for testing
of PC-NFS transfer.
- Installed a new version
of the system at pilot sites and trained the users there.
