WISE - Writing Invoices for Small Enterprises

Wise Owl The W.I.S.E. application is suitable for running on a moderately equipped personal computer, running Windows 95 or later. It is recommended to have 16Mb of RAM memory as a minimum, and approximately 10Mb of free disc space on the hard drive. A modest printer should be available, any ink-jet model will suffice, and current invoice formats require A4 paper to be used. It is designed for holding a limited number of customer records, where relational database and accounting facilities are not required.

It is a 'single-user' system, and is not suitable for network use. It will record various business and customer information, and will produce an invoice with up to five item lines on an ad hoc basis.

Version 2 of the application allows upto 300 product codes to be stored, along with unit prices, and allows upto 5 products or services to be associated with each customer.

The first form displayed gives access to the main functions of the application.

Wise Main

The general information form allows the business address to be stored, and in addition, comments or slogans to be entered to be printed on each invoice.

Wise General

The products/services form allows the prices and descriptions to be stored.

Wise Product

The customer form allows addresses to be stored, and gives access to the product selection form.

Wise Customer

Finally, the products/services selection form allows products to be added to, or deleted from a customer record.
