Welcome to my 'bit on the Internet'. My name is Andy Morris. I live in
Cannock, Staffordshire, about 25 miles from Birmingham in the United Kingdom.
I am 38 years young and married to Tracy. My hobbies range from playing most types of computer games, swimming, driving (car and motorbike)
and anything to do with radio controlled models. My other hobbies, when funds will allow,
are jet-skiing and go-karting.
While you're here why not sign the Guest Book.
Fed up with staring at the same picture??? - At weekends, refresh and it may change.
I work in the computer department of Glynwed pipesystems Cannock Office -
formerly known as Durapipe-S&LP in Norton Canes, Cannock,
Staffordshire.
Thanks to all those of you who have expressed an interest in the several Kawasaki ZZr's that I have owned. Some of them have had eventful lives, including the Silver 1100 displayed in the pictures on the bike page. This 1100 has now sadly expired. It did go out in a blaze of glory though! After getting the bike back from some accident repairs and getting a flat battery just before end of April, I could not undo the bolts holding the fuel tank on. Consequently I had to charge the battery whilst still on the bike - BIG MISTAKE.
The fire brigade say it was a faulty battery charger, but whatever caused it, the bike went up in flames :(
Unfortunately, the bike was in the verandah at the time and the verandah also went out in a 'blaze' of glory :(
Unfortunately again, the kitchen and the dining room are joined onto the verandah. Guess what? - yep they went too. The intense heat from the fire melted the U-PVC window in the bedroom and - yep gone.
Basically, if it wasn't burned, it was smoke damaged. Luckily, we have a great insurance policy on the house and should be OK. The bike insurance paid out enough to pay off the outstanding finance with £300 left over - not a good return after paying £180 each month for the last 3 years!!!! Still, I have had loads of fun on it.
Did I mention that all this happened the week before we were due to sell the house? - Guess who owned TWO houses for 4 months!!!
I'll try and put up some pictures soon - you have to see the remains of the bike to believe how hot it must have got.
OK - everyone has to move on - so the bike has gone..... BUT THE MITSUBISHI GTO HAS NEARLY ARRIVED. Instead of getting another big bike, I went for four wheels.
