MASCOTTE - ROLT BETER / PLAKT BETER / BRANDT BETER - 3 x BETER

Mascotte no 525 papers are the biggest brand of rolling papers in Holland, which in turn is by far the biggest market for roll-your-own. With a market share of 60%, Mascotte are the biggest brand on the continent.

The design of the Mascotte booklets has changed little over the past 50 years. In 1994 the tiger was introduced on the front of the packet and in 1997, a brighter, more modern booklet was introduced. At the same time, the Mascotte Spécial was introduced becoming a strong line extension of the Mascotte brand in Holland

The New Design

"FLUI"

This is an interesting packet. FLUI was a brandname for Germany where, in the old days, MASCOTTE could not be registered. Cigarette paper in Holland is "vloei" which in German would be pronounced "Flui". - Never really sold, it seems..

Other Micres Papers

Micres ("The Mascotte Company") also has two very small brands - one very old (Trix) and a newer one (Sawah) which was introduced in 1996 but does not sell as well as Mascotte yet.
