David Feldmar Recruited during the last 6 months as a part time vet at Shamrock, has sent the campaign a letter stating that he handed in his notice on the 22nd of December "due to the part-time nature of his work and at the request of his family". The campaign believes he was training to take over from Andrew Bradwell who's last day at Shamrock is this Friday. Although a brilliant victory for the campaign, it doesn't get David out of the shit as it was just discovered that he owns two pet shops in Sussex and has just been granted permission to open a reptile farm. His address will be circulated so people can write and ask him to reconsider his other dirty businesses as well. Thanks for all of your help with this victory!! Hope everyone is back from holiday and ready to get right into the swing of things. We need to show Shamrock that we haven't forgotten about the monkeys over the holidays and that we will close them down in 2000!! Please make very effort to come out for this demo. The last regional had a poor turnout (I know it was a week before Xmas) and the local papers all reported how the campaign was losing steam. We need to show them that this is not true!! French primate research company tries

The French primate research company who were recently denied permission to build a huge monkey breeding centre in France have applied to the Spanish government for permission. They have already bought land just south of Barcelona and are now awaiting government permits. This will be the largest primate supplier in all of Europe, housing up to 3,000 at one time. It will also be the first facility of it's kind in Spain. All of the monkeys will be sold to vivisection labs across Europe and the US. Urgent letters of protest are needed. At present I only have fax numbers for these government departments but will try and get addresses as soon as possible.
