Solitaire city is a shareware suite of solitaire card games created by Peter Wiseman.
It features animations and fully customisable sounds and by fully customisable
I mean that every event has its own sound and you can use the default settings,
use any of the other supplied wav files, or substitute your own. It also
comes with a freeware program called Solitaire Setty, which gives Solitaire City
users the chance to create their own card set projects. You will need Solitaire
Setty to convert projects into finished card sets. Below are the card set projects
that I have created. Two are based on Royal Mail postage stamp designs;
one uses cigarette cards based on characters from the works of Charles Dickens;
another has prints of Japanese actors; yet another Heath Robinson's Goblin characters;
and another John Gould's "Birds of America"; plus, there's one for Monty
Python fans. Click on them to download them (Netscape Navigator users may need
to hold down the shift key as they click). Click on the Solitaire City image
at the bottom of the page to go to the Solitaire City home page where you can
download the main program, as well as Solitaire Setty and more card sets. |
