How to get here, where to stay ....

 

 

A train and bus service from Glasgow connects directly with the Arran Ferry. You are advised to book cars in advance (definitely during peak holiday times), with Caledonian Macbrayne Ltd (Cal-Mac) The Ferry Terminal Ardrossan Tel:08705 650000 www.cal-mac.com Alternatively, a small car ferry runs between Lochranza and Kintyre also run by Caledonia MacBrayne.

By Road, from the North, M77 from Glasgow or A783 from Gourock (Irvine Bridge) then A78 to Ardrossan. From the South (England) M6 - M74 Jnctn 9 A71 Kilmarnock then A78 at Irvine follow signs for Ardrossan and the Arran Ferry.

By Air into Glasgow International or Prestwick then either taxi, bus or train to Ardrossan Harbour.
