Premiere Tutorial 2: Basic Editing
These pages are still under
construction and more information will be added in due
course
- Once you have captured all your clips you have to put them in
the right order and tidy them up (Top & Tail). This is quite
easy to do.
- Click on the picture of the first clip, which is resting in
the project bin, it will then appear in the monitor window.
- Find your starting point in the video and select the In
button. This is your In point.
- Now do the same with your out point. Use the out button to
mark where your clip will end
- Place the clip on the construction window using one of the
following methods
- Select the 'place on timeline' button. This will place the
clip onto the construction window for you.
- Drag the picture onto the construction window, onto the
video one track
- Now continue with your next clip and place it after the first
clip on the timeline. The 'place on timeline' button will place it
after the previous clip for you.
- Once you have edited all your clips and they are in the right
order on the timeline you can press return or use the controller
functions to play the whole video
- The next step is to add titles and transitions, along with any
SFX.
