Flight Sim Index

Elite

Brief Description:

The Elite sreies of flight sims are for the real pilots to practice IFR (Instrument Flight Rating - flying blind in cloud using only your instruments). Unfortuantly I could not get the Mac demo to work, but I have seen it at a flight shop at Fairoaks airfield in Surrey hooked up to a PC with footpedals and proper flight columns and levers (remember this is a pro sim and is not cheap) and so I know it works and is highly regarded in the aviation industry. Computer flight sims have just been cleared for use by the FAA in the states so that they can be used for IFR licences, I do not know if the CAA here in the UK will follow suite.
