Synopsis: This is a masterpiece. An underwater oil drilling team are called in to help a Navy SEAL team investigate a sunken nuclear submarine. The investigations reveal that they are not alone at the bottom of the ocean. It is a roller-coaster ride of a film with action and suspense all the time, as well as great camerawork and editing which makes you feel like you are there under the sea. |

|
Points of Interest to Film Studies Students: The underwater filming was done with the real actors in an unfinished nuclear reactor centre |

Misc. Notes: Channel 4 (a UK tv channel) showed the wrong version of the film with a scene of a rat being placed in a container of special liquid which is used by divers to breathe when doing deep dives. The other versions do not show the rat underwater. This liquid is real and has been used by humans for deep dives. |
