Personal View: Next to Jurassic Park this is the best film of all time!!! It has great special effects for its day (1977) along with a great script and that touch of Spielberg magic which makes everything seem so good. The famous five tones accompanied by that hand sign, and the ship and planes appearing in the middle of the desert, it all makes you wonder just what did happen at Roswell? |

Misc. Notes: A collectors edition of Close Encounters is now out which is the original version, and does not contain the extra mothership scenes. |
