Synopsis: Doug Ross, Dr Greene, Carol Hathoway, Dr Benton and Dr Carter; these names have entered tv folklore, especially Doug Ross (George Clooney), the new 'Batman' and 'Peacemaker'. Again a formula of different styles & stories all create an award winning series. |

Points of Interest to Film Studies Students: The fourth series was shot live, that is using electronic cameras as opposed to the 35mm film cameras, and broadcast as it happened. No editing, rerecording over mistakes or safety net of any kind - an event I doubt the BBC would ever try doing with Casualty! |

Personal View: My personal favourite is "Hell & High Water" where Doug Ross rescues a boy trapped in a water outfall pipe, taking him by tv news chopper to hospital and saving his life. The best part is where he is talking to Mark Greene via radio and Mark can see him on the tv set in the chopper trying to save the boys life |
