If you are a college, school, company or even a rich film maker thinking of having your own tv studio then this page is for you. I will lay out what you need for a basic studio in terms of structure, equipment and how to run it, and is how I would create a studio for Collingwood if I had been around in the studios inception. First of all this will be a tv studio for use in a school, though it works well for small companies also.
The studio should be made an actual department rather than attatched to say the music or drama department. This is so that the whole school can use it, as well as having its own budget, and can also be autonomous - with it being used to make videos rather than being used as an extra classroom. Ideally it should have its own building which means its work will not disturb other classes, (for example when you are recording a very loud band-which is what most student bands seem to be currently). It also means the facilities can be open late for staff, students, or for evening classes without having the rest of the school open.
