Obviously your studio will require some staff so you have to choose carefully. There must be somebody on site at all times. They are the station manager or media technician and look after the running of the studio, ordering tapes and repairing broken equipment (provided they are qualified-cameras are more computers than simple box brownies). It is they who take bookings for the studio and should be on hand whenver the studio is used. They should have a background in video production. Do not get an engineer. They may be able to fix everything but they will not know how to make videos, it is not a simple case of point and shoot, no matter what anyone thinks.
The teachers should ideally have a background in video, though if your media technician is ex-video then he will be able to help. They should have training on the equipment, enough to know how to turn in on and its basic function.
