Here in the UK we have a broadcast tv studio in every major town, as well as many more independant production companies. Of the broadcast stations there are 3 main companies, the BBC, the ITV regional companies and the satelite companies (Sky TV).
The first tv studio was Alexander Palace (or affectionately known as Ally Palley) which broadcast the BBC shows. After that came BBC TV Centre in Shepherds Bush. Other well known studios include the former Thames TV studios near the Euston Tower (also the home of Capital Radio), the LWT studios on the South Bank of the Thames and of course the Pinewood Film Studios, home of the James Bond films.
