Ashley's X-Planes

I've been trying my hand at creating planes and terrains for use in X-Plane, please note that these files are from the Mac version 3.6.7. of Plane Maker. The planes below have been adapted from the original files which came with the program or from other sites. All I have done is adapted a few of the figures such as engine power or added special features. I have zipped the files into one compressed file, click here to download it, then expand it.

The Boeing 747 is my favourite airplane. Its huge nad bulky, and yet graceful and powerful. This acf. file is an ultra modern jumbo with more powerful engines, HUD with hoops, and an emergency chute when running out of runway after a fast landing. This now has a JATO unit (Jet Assisted Take Off) for when you want a little extra ummphh in an emergency, or when you are impatient to take off.

This Cessna 172 contains the same James Bond style added extras along with a computerised cockpit and radio altimeter, (which I find very useful).

This Cessna 421 is a twin engine aircraft which has the same James Bond extras as with the Cessna 172, but also has a JATO and a chute.

Concorde is one of the legendary aircraft of the world. Again this contains hoops HUD and chutes and engines which makes it capable of travelling at Mach 4.5 !!! (Though the real Concorde can only travel at Mach 2)

The Phantom is a classic fighter jet, and as with all my planes this one is a standard Ashley cockpit with all the trimmings.

I loved watching Airwolf on tv, though a little far fetched with an armour plated helicopter capable of travelling at mach 1+ (the fasteset chopper is a Lynx at 230mph). I love flying helicopters in X-Plane so I adapted a Bell 430 to create this Airwolf file. It is basically an updated Bell 430 with all the trimmings.
