SMALL BORE RIFLES

An annual competition held at Ash ranges -   
This is a shoulder to shoulder event comprising prone, standing and kneeling at 50 metres and prone at 100 yards. The Associations championship trophies are awarded at this event. Members may also take part in similar events currently being run by the Reserve Forces and RAF.

Annual short and long range events - 
Teams are selected from RAuxAF and RAFVR(T) members [see Membership details] to represent our Association in inter service shooting against Royal Navy, RAF, Regular Army and the TA.

POSTAL SHOOT COMPETITIONS

Inter Service Postal Shoot 
One postal Inter Services shoot comprising of a team of 20, each shooting 2 cards at 25 yards [or equivalent short range distance].

Individual Summer Postal Shoot -
This is our own club shoot competition comprising of 10 cards at 25 yards or equivalent. This competition is open to all members and shot in classes according to ability - medals are awarded within each class.

ATC Wings -
The top four scores achieved by each ATC Wing in the Individual Summer Postal.22 are assessed, and the winning Wing receives the Presidents Annual Certificate.  

Winter Individual Competition -
Open to all members and shot in classes according to ability - medals are awarded within each class.

Air Pistol Postal Competitions -
Open to all members shot in classes according to ability - medals are awarded within each class.

Full bore competitions - 
Open to all members shot in classes according to ability - medals are awarded within each class.

Where We Shoot
Mainly on private club, squadron and/or TAVRA  ranges for postal competitions.
