Key:
1.
Looking north, 'up the valley', the valley road makes its way towards the town of Tredegar seen in the distance.
2.
What now remains of the village of "Troedrhiwgwair" can be seen in the middle of the scan.
3.
Looking south, 'down the valley', the valley roed can be seen making its way towards Hollybush village.
4.
The village of 'Bedwallty Pits' can just be seen opposite the village of Troedrhiwgwair at the bottom of the scan.
