The map names about twelve places in Bedfordshire and a further seven outside the county boundary.

Roads shown are:
1. Leighton to Dunstable.
2. Wellingboro in Northamptonshire to Lutton via Bedford and Burton Clay and then on to the county boundary with Hertfordshire.
3. Baldock in Hertfordshire via Bigleswade and Yerford to the River Ouse.

The rivers Ouse, Ivel and Lea are named on the map.

Second state

The imprint is unchanged.

About fifty place names have been added and Yerford has been changed to Girford. The change is shown below (first state on the left).

PART OF HUNTIGDON SHIRE at the top right of the map has been corrected to PART OF HUNTINGDON SHIRE.

Two roads have been added:
1. From the western boundary with Buckinghamshire to the the eastern boundary with Cambridgeshire via Stageden, Bedford, Cardinton and Potton.
2. Dunstable to the Buckinghamshire boundary via Hockley in the Hole.
