The map names about eighteen places in Berkshire and a further six outside the county boundary.

Roads shown are:
1. Hungerford to Maidenhead via Avington, Newbury, Theal and Reading.
2. Faringdon to Maidenhead via Kingston Baptist, Abington, Nettlebed and Henley. There is a branch from this road from Kingston Baptist to Oxford.

The rivers Thames, Ock, Kennet and London are named on the map.

Second state

The imprint is unchanged.

About thirty-five place names have been added to the map.

Two roads have been added:
1. Newbury to Oxford via E. Ilsley and Abington.
2. Hungerford to Abington via Farmborough.

The boundary between Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire has been marked with a dotted line.

Third state

Imprint changed to:
Publish'd by the Proprietor W H Toms Sept. 29. 1742.

Famborough (added in the second state) changed to Farmborough.

Five more place names, Sutton Courtney, Shinfield, Whitley Park, Aberfield and Twiford, have been added.
